Mizner Trail:
Brian Coleman gave a detailed history of the Mizner Trail Golf Course and reported that the Association's Appeal of the County Decision was denied, and that the Association will not pursue further legal action.

Thursday June 26, 2014

Today, the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners voted 5-2 to APPROVE the development application to build 255 units on the Mizner Trail Golf Course. After nine years, three development applications, numerous postponements, a Circuit Court ruling, the Board of County Commisioners has reversed previous decisions to oppose development.

Commisioners Steve Abrams and Jess Santamaria voted to OPPOSE the development.

The B.D.M.I.A. voted 8-1 to appeal County Commissioners decision to approve the modification of the Boca del Mar master plan allowing the owners to build 255 units on the voluntarily closed Mizner Trail Golf Course. Attorney Peter Sachs and his team have been retained to make the appeal.

The Association is acting upon the overwhelming majority view of its members, in the perceived best interest of the entire Boca Del Mar Community to preserve the 140 acres of open space by appealing to the Circuit Court that the County did not follow its own requirements regarding the criteria for modifying a master plan under the Unified Land Development Code.    More...
